Homebodii Bride of the Month: Sinead Balomenos
A little bit about me..
I have always been drawn to beauty in its many forms, from meaningful connections to the finer details that shape an experience. I value moments that feel intentional and emotionally rich. While marrying my partner was at the heart of everything, creating a space that felt warm, considered and memorable for everyone present was equally important to me. I had dreamt of my wedding as all girls do! My dress was made by the incredible Leah Da Gloria and it was my dream, her craftsmanship, care and service was incredible. I had always dreamed of having a dress made by Leah Da Gloria and I have followed her journey since she was an emerging designer.
Our approach to planning the wedding was…
A deeply considered and highly collaborative process with my incredible wedding planner, stylist and floral artist, Evie from Evebud. From the outset, I envisioned a celebration that felt artful, romantic and entirely reflective of us. Every element was approached with intention, allowing the day to unfold as a seamless expression of our story. With Evie’s creative direction, each detail was layered thoughtfully, resulting in an atmosphere that felt both elevated and deeply personal. For me, it was an opportunity to bring together my love of design, texture and storytelling in a way that felt immersive and refined.
Intentional, detail driven and quietly luxurious. We allowed ourselves the time to curate each element with care, ensuring nothing felt rushed or arbitrary. Every decision was guided by how it would contribute to the overall feeling of the day. It was important that the experience felt effortless and cohesive, while still holding depth and meaning beneath the surface.
Carefully considering our vendors helped shape our day; having a team in Evebud, Stacey McLean (our incredible photographer), Sunnybrae (Venue) and a range of other amazing vendors made our entire experience!
Looking back, we’re so glad that we…
Placed our trust in a team who understood our vision and allowed ourselves to be fully present. Releasing control on the day created space for genuine emotion and connection, which ultimately became the most memorable part of the celebration.
The most unexpected part of the day was…
The weather. We were married in South Australia during one of the most unprecedented weather events. What could have felt overwhelming instead became something quietly extraordinary. A soft, misting rain settled over the day, creating a romantic and almost cinematic atmosphere. It added a sense of intimacy and softness that elevated everything around us. In many ways, it felt as though it had been perfectly curated just for us.
When I look back now, I feel…
A deep sense of contentment. The day felt expansive yet intimate, filled with love, beauty and moments that will stay with us forever.
My advice to new brides is…
Allow yourself to be present. The day moves quickly, and perfection is not found in every detail going to plan, but in the moments you share. The most profound part of the entire experience is the quiet moment of connection as you walk down the aisle and meet your partner’s eyes. Everything else becomes secondary.
My Homebodii moment was special because…
It created a sense of calm and ease at the beginning of the day. There was something so luxurious in feeling both comfortable and refined while getting ready. Surrounded by my closest friends, the morning felt soft, joyful and full of anticipation. Having my makeup artist Emilie Todarello and hairdresser Roland Totani there made the experience feel incredibly special, their presence bringing such a beautiful, calming energy to the room. Alongside them, Tess Carbone and Demi Rose took such care in styling my bridesmaids, making everyone feel effortlessly beautiful and radiant. It was a morning I will always cherish.
I wore...
The Miami Jacquard Slip with the Helena Robe, a combination that felt effortlessly elegant and timeless, perfectly complementing the tone of the morning.
