What inspired you to create the Busy Girls Social Club, and what does this community of ambitious women mean to you?
Busy Girls Social Club was inspired by being a young, female entrepreneur and regularly attending networking events where I felt as though I wasn't meeting other career-driven girls my age. Working in the marketing world, I also saw that influencers were prioritised by brands for these content focused events, whilst the everyday girls and real customers were missing out. That's where the idea of Busy Girls Social Club was born. Our mission is simple - create opportunities for like-minded girls to connect, share experiences and build a supportive network across various industries. We're not just a club; we're a movement empowering busy, career-focussed women to enhance their lives through authentic connections and shared experiences. The community created at Busy Girls Social Club means the world to me as I believe we have created an impactful, safe and beautiful group. It still blows my mind at every event how many girls continue to show up and love our events!
How do you weave ambition, personal growth, and meaningful connections into your daily life?
For me it’s all about balance, I try to make sure every day has a little mix of all three. Ambition shows up in my work. I set clear goals and push myself creatively. Personal growth comes from taking time to reflect, learn and step out of my comfort zone. I am a huge fan of journaling, listening to podcasts and reading personal growth books. And meaningful connections? That’s the best part. Whether it’s catching up with girlfriends, attending networking events, collaborating with inspiring businesses, or even just a quick coffee chat, I always prioritise people and relationships alongside everything else I do.
Describe your ultimate day of self-care or indulgence—what little rituals make it feel special?
Ooh! I love this one because I really do love self-care. For me, it’s not just the big indulgences but the little rituals that make my day feel special. I try to book a massage once a month, and I never skip my skincare routine morning and night, it’s a non-negotiable! I’m a big fan of baths and journalling at night when I need to clear my head. With how busy my work life is, I’ve learnt to carve out small pockets of time just for me, whether that’s making sure I get enough sleep every night, switching off in the evening with a trashy reality show, going for a long walk or indulging in a little retail therapy. Taking time out to fill my cup is really important to me. It’s those little rituals or moments that keep me feeling grounded, recharged and ready to go again.
How do communities like Busy Girls Social Club empower women to thrive in both career and life?
As the founder of Busy Girls Social Club, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is when women come together. Our community empowers women to thrive because it’s more than just networking - it’s about building real friendships, sharing knowledge, and creating a space where ambition is celebrated. I think what makes it special is that we blend career growth with genuine connection and fun. One of my favourite memories from Busy Girls has been seeing one girl show up to the event alone, then come to the next event with a friend she met at the last event. That's when I stood back and thought wow this actually is working! Busy Girls shows girls that you don’t have to choose between thriving professionally and enjoying your personal life, you can do both, and you don’t have to do it alone.
What advice would you give to women looking to build their own supportive, inspiring networks?
My biggest advice is to just do it! Jump out of your comfort zone and back yourself. The first Busy Girls event was pulled together in just one week, and it sold out a week later. I never believed that would happen, but it showed me that sometimes you don’t need to overthink, you just need to take the leap. When you create something genuine, people will show up. Building a supportive, inspiring network starts with putting yourself out there and trusting that the right people will connect with you.
Which small habits or moments bring you joy and help you stay grounded amid a busy schedule?
For me, it’s the little things that keep me grounded. Quality time with my loved ones and girlfriends is everything! Being around my inner circle just fills my cup right up. Whether it’s a family dinner, a quick coffee catch-up with my besties, or laughing over the most random things with the work girls, those are the moments that keep me present and remind me what really matters (and honestly, they’re the best kind of therapy!).
What are your favourite Homebodii pieces, and how do they accompany your everyday life or special occasions?
I’ve been a Homebodii girl for years now, it’s such a special brand to me! Last Christmas I bought a matching set with my little cousin and we’re now making it a tradition. I’ve always loved their short pyjama sets, and right now I’m obsessed with the Celine pattern (it even came with me on my recent Europe trip!). I also just bought the Sian Cami Set and I cannot wait to wear it all summer long. My Homebodii toiletry bag is a must-have - I literally can’t live without it AND I’ve had so many compliments on the linen and room mist too. It’s the beauty of the brand, that the products make every day feel like a special occasion.
